Tips for For Glory fighting?

Got my butt whipped in FG. I need a bit of intel to help me out. I know not to spam rolls and use stale moves to my advantage, but online is stressing to the point where I forget all of that. It's one of the reasons I stuck in For Fun. That being said, I'm a pretty average player. The only room for improvement I see now is versus other players. Help is appreciated.

    You're talking about 1v1 here, right? Well, if you've got your basic controls down and you want to try getting into competitive, it's worth digging into some competitive theory and basic techniques. Simple things like understanding shorthop and fastfall, making DI (Direction Influence) muscle memory and understanding the term 'neutral' will go a long way into improving your play early on.

    Don't let your opponent predict you. Be sure to mix up your combos and try all kinds of tricks. Edge guarding is very important if you don't want your opponent returning to the stage do Smash attacks, Standard Specials, Up Specials and etc.. Alternatively just browse Youtube.
