Miitomo confirmed for March 17th launch in Japan

Nintendo's first official app 'Miitomo' now has a definitive launch date in Japan. Hopefully those in the west will also receive a date soon. Miitomo is at heart a social app that lets you communicate with your friends through a Mii avatar. The avatar can be customised with different clothes and inserted in to real world photos.

    Am I the only one who's actually looking forward to Miitomo? Though it's not a really deep game or anything, I think it's a neat concept and I can't wait to give it a shot. Hopefully, if it's coming out that soon in Japan, NA won't be far behind!

    @Cam: I'm willing to be won over. My worry is that i already 'share' things with people online via social media so having the Mii as a go between, and showing them off in different costumes or pictures is neat but won't be a sufficient draw for me to use it more than a couple of times.
