After becoming too used to the newer Pokémon generations, I'm surprised at how much fun I had playing this again despite how archaic it is. I find that there's such a charming simplicity to it that makes it compelling to play all over again, especially when it's very noticeable with how much the series has evolved since then. Felt great to re-live some memories again as well.
