GBA SP AGS-003

I have a ↑. Everything runs well except for one thing: screen darkness. Its really annoying that I cant see well when I'm playing in a bright place. Is it supposed to be like this?

    Not sure. It's supposed to have a backlight. I'm guessing because it's old. It might need a new light.

    If you want the light to work I'd say so. Not sure if Nintendo still supports it though. If you can't send it in, try looking for a tutorial on youtube or finding someone on ebay who fixes them. Though you could probably do it yourself if you are careful.

    I think I'll do it myself. I have some experience on these things so that'll be. Do I need a replacement part for this or can it be fixed manually?

    You'll probably need a new part. Though, it's most likely not a lot, so should be no trouble. I've seen some videos where people mod it to make it brighter so it should be the same amount of effort. You'll probably just need a new light. Not sure if you'll need to solder it or not though.
