They did the same thing with Mother 3 I'm really getting tired of Nintendo not releasing there RPG series in the western area. They thought the Zeroblade wouldn't be popular in the west but it sold better in the west then in Japan. I don't know what I'm talking about and I highly doubt anybody cares.

I think Nintendo wants the game to be forgetten, but I'm not a Mario RPG fan, so I don't care if it's on eshop or not.

I honestly want to play it. I hate when Japan feels they need to either change a game greatly or just not translate it for us. The West is important too!

Remember, it was developed by Square Enix, so, of course, they are very protective on their games, including Super Mario RPG.

I find it really ironic that England in particular got Super Mario RPG for the eShop, because the original version wasn't released in PAL regions.

I loooooved Sonic Chronicles! It's a hard game, but when you finish it, you feel powerful!

Guess Nintendo's lazy. What I really want in the eshop are Gamecube games. Like Paper Mario TTYD or Super Mario Sunshine. I need to relive those memories! I mean come on Nintendo! Even Wii games are in the eshop! Hmph!

Also since I have the RPG game in my Wii channel, I could download Mario RPG in my Wii U for a cheaper price! Yes!

For Super Mario RPG, you'll have to ask Square Enix about that. For MOTHER 3, You should know lots of good Japanese before you play it. It may be straightforward due to its linear progression, but I still think Nintendo's gonna release MOTHER 3 untranslated, just like The Mysterious Murasame Castle.

As for the Geno thing, I think people seem to dislike Mallow because of his personality (for a prince!), his poor physical attack stats, and his low Total FP count, making him unreliable outside fanmade you-know-whats. He's focused on attack magic, but the disadvantages would force players to use someone else; Geno for popularity, Bowser for Strength, or Peach for Support.

I heard this was coming to the west later this year. One could only hope. :x Even though I got it on the Wii, I'd like to own it again on this console. Also, those who have yet to play it are missing out and need to try this gem of a game. :p

Interesting Taylor, did you know that Super Mario Bros. 2 is a rip-off of Doki Doki Panic which was only released in Japan? Nintendo thought the original Super Mario Bros. 2 would be too hard for USA so they took Doki Doki Panic and replaced the regular characters with Mario, Luigi, Peach, and a Blue Toad.

@Peter: It was retooled, actually. I wouldn't want to rebuy Super Mario RPG for Wii U VC anyway, knowing that Nintendo infamously doesn't do crossbuying. (My Wii has it) I have Punch-Out on like 3 different systems. All I want is to truly *OWN* the game.

@Racer: I only ever used Geno because he was very potent. Give the Lazy Shell (armor) to Peach, and you have a balanced attacker (Mario), an unKOable Healer (Peach), and an absolute monster with damage (Geno)

I still have Super Mario RPG from when I carried over data from my Wii over to my Wii U.

Taylor: Nintendo released Super Mario RPG on the Wii's VC years ago. I got it then and it was cheap too! However, if they release it here on the Wii U's VC, then you can pick it up. I have no interest in buying it on the Wii U's VC. I already have it on my Wii and I still own my Wii. No point in buying the digital version twice for me. Also: It's a solid game, but I prefer the Paper Mario series.

Also where's the rest of SNES and 64 games? :l

Let's not give up just yet. Take a look at Rhythm Heaven Megamix, when it was released last year in japan, we thought it'll never be released outside of Japan until now. So we can't lose hope just yet.

Unfortunately, Nintendo has no faith in the west. Mother 3 is distant, and sadly this game to imo. It's a bit stupid considering that Xenoblade wasn't released for ages in the west, but when it did it got better sales and a better fan base. That's just my opinion.
