Why do people Sd on for glory when other people Sd, Is it because it was an accident?

If so I'm ok with that I see people sd on purpose when I sd presumably because the Sd I commited was unintentional and wasn't meant to happen.

they are trying to be respectful

  • agreed It is for the sake of a fair fight, certain scenarios that lead to unintentional sd's, fast falling off the stage.

  • That's called an honor stock. Let's say that a Ryu trying to use the button combos fell off and couldn't get back. I would run off and SD as well, to even the playing field.

  • You know i'm glad there are people on for glory like this it into a fair fight just knowing how much they care about their opponents when they lost their first stock on accident so they drop their first stock on purpose for the sake of a fair fight.

  • Yeah, what the others said! I don't come across a lot of respectful players, but when I do,and they SD, I'll SD too! But it also depends on the % of damage for me. For example, I played a match with a Roy,& being that Roy's recovery sucks, and he died at like 50%, I SDed. I know my boy has more potential than that! He's koed a little after 90% depending on the move. 90% is probably to late to SD

  • Its a nice gesture but I would personally like to dig myself out of my own mistakes.

  • People do it to be nice, but not everyone approves of it. I don't honor stock because it might make people feel pitied. I just give them a fair fight.

  • Sometimes in 3DS Team Smash...I accidentally let the SD happen. Either the lagging or just a mistake.

  • For me it depends on situation. If opponent made a stupid mistake that could be avoided, but I know is not bad at this game, early-mid stock, I'll SD. But if I launched them and they can't come back, why should I?
