I can't justify him not letting you get past to get medicine for Elise in Chapter 12. I mean if he really loved Corrin and want him back he would do that for him. But I don't know, maybe Xander's just as bad in Birthright.

that's a good point that i forgot about there's sort of a parallel to that in birthright where takumi becomes sick, but marx and none of the other nohr siblings are the boss, so no i wouldn't say he's as bad. he also didn't even think of killing you if you side with hoshido, he's in so much denial over the decision that he gets adamant about taking you home i was like stop no i didnt want to pick
