Missing things on SSB3DS

So... After viewing many things from the Wii-U version of SSB4, I've noticed one glaringly obvious difference between the versions: Smash Wii-U has a Special Smash mode. Now, I'm not usually one to complain, but wht isn't this mode on the 3DS version of the game? I mean, through Smash Run, you get a randomized version of it, but wht not just include the mode straight up?

    Not compatible data. 3DS couldn't handle it, whether data or memory storage. That's why Ice Climbers is gone.
