I think I hate this game. The controls are awful. I can't steer the Pikmin away from this thing. I can't control the camera to get a proper view of what I'm doing, either. They made the number 1 mistake of videogame camera design: trying to make it look "cinematic" at the expense of good gameplay. I've restarted this day four times now. This will be my last try.

    That's it. I quit. $60 down the drain. Let me know if they ever release a patch to fix the controls to match the real Pikmin games.

    What control style were you using? I think the wiimote and nunchuk combo is the best, I did play it through again though with the wiiU pad and thought that was a bit better cause I could multi task. Have you been using the dodge button? think is left/right on the D pad. When battling a boss I would leave most of my pikmin just out the battlefield and just take 20 with me.

    I was using the gamepad. But no control scheme currently available allows you to control which way your Pikmin move. They locked the camera view too low to the ground, too, so I couldn't ever see where I was throwing Pikmin. It was just an overwhelmingly bad experience really early in the game that never would have happened in the real Pikmin games.

    Look, everyone it's a rare photo of some one who actually doesn't like the pikmin 3. For some reason I have no idea what your talking about with the controls. Everyone here in this community loves the game. Even those who played the Gamecube versions. It really doesn't make sense to me, cause Your the only person I've seen who's made this much of rage quit in pikmin 3.

    A Pro Controller still wouldn't utilize the right-stick to guide the pikmin where I need them to go. And it wouldn't fix the atrocious camera.

    My problem isn't with the controller itself. My problem is that they removed a lot of functionality that all the other games in the series had. It's not fun, and I'm just not going to play it anymore.

    Wiimote and nunchuck, I'm telling you I wouldn't even go back to GameCube control after using that. It's been a long time since I've played so I don't remember the specific functions, only that it was vastly superior to everything else. You've already bought the game so might as well try. Give it an hour or 2 and see if it works for you.

    i dont like the wiimote and nunchuck cause im bad at it and also wiimote and nunchuck you cant even turn the camera i like wii u game pad controlls

    Im telling you I had the demo to the game and had no problems with camera and defeated this boss without losing any pikmin...maybe you need to catch your barrings more
