    Neither one of those games need remakes, Killer. Remaking them would rob them of the qualities that make them as special as they are. And I say this as a person for whom both of those games hold a special place for me; Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite game of all time, and both of those are two of my favorite games in the series. But the remakes of FF 3 & 4? Not impressive.

    Final Fantasy 4, in fact, is one of my favorite FF games. It's the one that got me into the series, in fact, back when it was the SNES FF2, and the constant porting and remakes just diminished it. Remake culture is entirely too prevalent now, and it makes things less special.

    final fantasy 6 .......... I used too hate that game and now I'm completely indifferent too it. Yes I think it is over praised and has not aged well BUT I do see what people like about it.

    @TheKiller: FFIII eventually came to the states many years later, I have it on the DS. It's a decent game, the job system is enjoyable, but there's not much of a plot IMO.

    @Tyrone: I don't know that I'd go as far as to say 6 is over-praised, certainly not to the extent that 7 is. It's a game that still enjoys more cult status two decades later than mainstream.

    @Tyrone: Well like I said, it had very little plot. It can be fun if you like the job system and don't mind grinding, but I totally understand if many people don't like it all that much. I did find it humorous that I ended up killing the final boss in that game by leveling all my characters in Ninja and literally throwing all my best weapons at it.

    Time for DEBATE! Firstly, The characters. The characters range from good to cliche. However I'm going to save this for later. The music........ There are about 6 tracks I can remember. The battle theme, The boss theme, Terra's theme, Sabin's theme The opera scene and the final bosses theme. Good tracks but the rest of the music is boring to me......

    Okay. Since you've run out of posts, I'll agree to postpone any rebuttals until later. That said, I'd like to hear some more cogent and specific examples. So far, all your examples are pretty broad stroke stuff, more explaining why you personally dislike the game rather than why it deserves no praise (ironic, given that you've already said "I see how some people could like it").

    It deserves praise but some of it is not deserved or only could be said for that time period. A good game can stand the test of time and final fantasy 6......... Well lets first talk about the praises I agree with. The game looks amazing and has a outstanding production value for its time. Yes it dose have its rough edges but it still looks good tobay. The characters Are mostly good.....
