    I think it's A+B+Start+Select all at once. Remember, this game was on the Game Boy first. That WAS all the buttons.

    It helps if you hold A+B and then push Start+Select at the same time. With the older 3DS, it's really awkward, but not impossible.

    You get a little menu asking if you want to save on the top screen. All the bottom screen is used for is creating and loading restore points.

    All four buttons must be pressed at once. Like I said, it helps if you hold A+B before pressing Start+Select. You'll get it eventually.
