[Lost Gaming: Pocket Monsters RPG] Long before Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD, there was plans of making a console RPG for the ill-fated N64 DD. Little is known about the game, and no screenshots have been released. It was first mentioned in a magazine interview with Mr. Miyamoto, and then it fell off the radar.

    Junichi Masuda has a strong belief that Pokemon RPGs shouldn't be on home consoles, so that might've been the reason for Pocket Monster's cancellation, but the most probable reason was the... "good sales" of the Disk Drive.

    The N64 DD didn't sell well because it was sold only in Japan, and was released kinda late into the N64's lifespan. (Late '99)

    Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time actually started life as an N64 DD project. It was supposed to use the click for realistic day/night cycles, and tons of other stuff was planned.
