    Mmm, it's more useful if you're a Cook. If your main Life is Hunter, you should probably be picking up the Woodcutter Life and Carpenter Life. So you can make your own Bows and give them special effects and such. But if you have your heart set on being an Angler, go right for it! After all, it's Fantasy Life. You can do whatever you want!
