Why say sorry?

"Sorry" is a pointless contradiction. It means "to ask for forgiveness." Why ask for what is already given? Humans always associate regret with sadness, and that leads to the conclusion that they must clear themselves of their sins. In truth, humans rarely regret. They speak of obscure pointless contradictions that they fail to see the meaning of. Why say sorry?

    Forgiveness needs not to be asked for, it is already assumed with the fault. Although humans have to pair pain and accident -of which itself is another example- to forgiveness, but only with a petty request.
