nino will never be better than erk for a runs sake first caps exist so realistically EVERY est every will be dumped off by an earlier unit. Erk comes at level one and earlier therefore "more time to grow" is false and only having her for four chapters all with enimies that look at her funny one round her. Doubling pegasus knights is nothing impressive due to their absolutely terrible con

so when you beat hector normal mode try using nino then on hhm instant bench. anyone could raise her on eliwood normal mode barely but anything other then that is asking to take hellfire

I've been able to use Nino on Hector Normal, but you don't see me hyping her up just because she's got "awesome" stats. Mainly because I know by now that I can get similar results from babying Erk in Ch 14. And that enemies in this game, while not on Sacred Stones's level of weak, are still generally pretty weak. She's good for the EXP rank. That's about the most I can say for her, though.

I wasn't really trying to "hype up" Nino per se, I was just trying to show prince something that we had discussed about being able to cap stats with Afa's Drops. And Chan, I said Nino has more time to grow than PENT, not Erk, because you get her as a mage while he starts out as a sage, giving her more opportunities to level up than Pent does. However, you did bring up some valid points.

I think Nino and Erk will come out to have similar caps, except for the one point higher magic that females get, and the one point higher skill point that males get. It's just easier to cap with Nino because she has MUCH better growths than Erk does. But Chan, what you said does make sense about the Est archetype characters taking too much time, but you're forced to bring Nino in 24x, so why not?

But I'm not playing to five star everything, I'm just playing for fun. I'll probably train her in HHM just for the hell of it anyways.

Plus, I think her fire affinity helps her boost her offense even more. But, I could be wrong because I'm not too sure on what EVERY affinity does yet.

It's fine. Everyone has a characters they like to use, whether it be just stats-wise or personality-wise. You can use any character you want, just don't brag on how many stats that unit capped.

I wouldn't exactly say Nino has "much room to grow". While it's true that she's low-levelled, 6 or so chapters before the credits is hardly any room for growth at all. Nino's support list is also pretty poor, with her best one (Jaffar) needing 18 turns for C, and 27/54 more for B/A. Besides Jaffar, there's Canas, but I think his supports are 27/54/81 for C/B/A.

Erk was also brought up mainly because he's available for much longer than Nino is, and, provided that he's been adequately levelled or given favoritism, will be much stronger than the enemies that she will be facing when she joins. Pent wasn't brought up mainly because he and Erk are pretty statistically equal on paper, and he pretty much skips the training stage completely.

And any statistical advantage Nino would eventually get over either one is pretty much irrelevant 99% of the time because, again, enemies in FE7 are pretty weak in general. IIRC, the only enemies in the game that pose a credible threat are lategame bosses, which pretty much every trained unit would face trouble from alone.

Personally, I have no issue with anyone who does actually like to use Nino. (I like to use her from time to time, myself.) But at the same time, I'm not afraid to point out any faults she might have as a unit.

Generally speaking i dont care who you use but if you state that character is completly superior then another who is not then thats a ptoblem

OK, guys. I really didn't mean to show favoritism. Thank you for all you've put here. It'll make a difference when I start HHM. Thanks again!

Good luck! I'm not sure if I should play Eliwood Hard Mode or Hector Hard Mode. What do you guys suggest?

I'm not really sure because I most likely will fail a lot. I'll have to think about it.
