    He'd be too overpowered. Strangely enough, depending on the mode he'll have different stats. In Eliwood Hard Mode, he has capped strength and a few few others while his stats are lower on Hector Hard Mode.

    he could be a solid last chapter character like renault or karla. If i recall, u can actually kill him in the chapter where u meet him but get a game over.

    It is possible to kill him and get a game over. I think he's not recruitable because if he died, who would drive the ship off the Dread Isle (And he's also more powerful than both Karla and Renault).
