    It was a wifi problem for me. The wii u needs an ethernet adapter and a wired connection to solve that, but once I did, it works perfectly. Being Nintendo, not every adapter will work, but the UtechSmart on amazon.com works great.

    If your Wi-Fi connection is bad, then you just have to improve it or replace it... In my case, my Wi-Fi is very good, but even so I sometimes lose connection... Once I rearranged the cables, and I don't know what happened, but it worked! No more connection issues! I guess it has something to do with the energy your router receives, but I don't know for sure... Try it, maybe it'll work.

    Thanks for the replies and suggestions. For a little more elaboration, my router is in a room directly above me, so I didn't think the wifi was a direct cause. Is the reciever really that bad? At this rate I really will have to use an ethernet connection... In any case, thank you to everyone that gave some insight!
