  • Peg knights are awesome, after all.

  • Heath is good in Hector Hard Mode due to his boosted stats from starting as an enemy.

  • And he's the only unpromoted wyvern rider. So there's that I guess. Guy and Raven also get boosts, right?

  • Yeah; Guy, Raven, Legault, Heath, Geitz, Harken, and Vaida get bonuses in Hector Hard Mode for starting as enemies. They usually get: 3-4 HP, 0-2 Strength, 1-2 Skill, 1-2 Speed, 0 Luck (Generics still have 0 as well.), 0-1 Defense, 1 Resistance,

  • Lol 0 luck still. Granted, I'll probably never play on HHM, I'd get wrecked. I only consider myself decent at FE. Wait, Harken's considered an enemy when he appears? (I got Karel) Isn't his whole point to destroy the Black Fang from the inside? Eh, whatever.

  • Harken's personality is a Pharean knight that is calls himself a "failure" due to not saving Lord Elbert. He's an enemy to hide himself in shame.

  • Oh. The red paint's a disguise. ...I really need to finish chapter 30 and the final chapter so that I can start Hector's route.

    Yeahs1
  • Who's Karel and how is he recruited?

  • Karel is the supposed "Sword Demon" and is a cool Swordmaster. He's canonically Bartre's Brother-in-law because Bartre marries his sister, Karla. As a character, he is mediocre at best. He is like a trained Guy, but with less speed, slightly more strength, higher defenses, but way less HP and availability. He comes in chapter 25 as a character split with Harken. He also comes with the Wo Dao.

  • Hmm, I suppose that Wo Dao is enticing, but Harken does seem a bit better if only for story purposes.

  • I'm definitely not saying either character is bad, I'm actually doing a prepromotes and Lords only playthrough of ENM (chosen due more to circumstances than choice) that's going very well, so to say that would be hypocritical. I'd actually be done by now, but I've stopped for a while to play Zelda.

  • The Wo Dao is only usable by Myrmidons, Swordmasters, and Lyn though. The Wo Dao is just like what it is in Shadow Dragon; Low Might, High Crit. Harken is still pretty much superior stat-wise, and a Brave Sword that can be used by any sword user with at least a "B" rank.

  • That's true, I'd forgotten about the Brave Sword. The Wo Dao seemed enticing though since I like the weapons with a high crtical hit rate, but I didn't think it had low attack, though I should have expected that.

  • By low might, I meant the same as a Steel Sword. The Wo Dao has 1 less might and 5 more critical than Killing Edge. 8 Might still wont get you far with Guy, Karel, Karla, and even Lyn.

  • To be fair for Harken, he's really only good if you never trained up Raven. Although the brave sword he carries IS really nice.

^ He's really good, period. Regardless of if you've trained Raven or not.

  • Oh. I guess I'm wrong.

^ You're not wrong about Raven being better than Harken, though. Seeing as availability lets a unit do more if he/she's strong enough to contribute during a certain point in the game. And Raven does join earlier than Harken does, so...

    Yeahs3
  • Legault has one of the worst HHM bonuses as he is the one character with many 0's, but he is still great! A 6 move unprompted unit with decent weapon levels, many double-digit stats, extra fog vision, using a steel sword with 1 speed loss, and extra utility is quite nice for a swordlocked unit.

  • I had to use Legault, as Matthew died on chapter 17 and I was too far in to restart.
