    You have to talk to Blathers at the museum when he is thinking. Do this at night when you don't have to wake him up. Go into an exhibit and come back out and talk to him. It happens the 2nd time he is thinking, though. The first time is for the 2nd museum floor.

    There is a 2nd floor to the museum. This floor is used for your own personal exhibits. You can place whatever you want in them. Renting a exhibit costs 10,000 bells. There is also a museum gift shop where you can get special flooring or wallpaper, and silver tools.

    From Thonky.com "The Roost is a public works project, but it isn't available in your list of public works projects right away. After you have built the museum gift shop and have donated at least 50 items to the museum, one day Blathers will ask that you build the café. After that, The Roost becomes available as an option in the public works list. Just sit in your mayor chair and choose it" Ok?
