The good news: I wound up getting 1,203,814 Bells for 24 bugs and 2 sharks! The bad news: I fell asleep in the middle of the process, and my battery died while I was sleeping. I did save at some point, thankfully, but I still lost a few good hundred-thousand Bells (as well as some furniture items I won) from after the last time I saved, all because I forgot to plug the 3DS in last night.
