    I don't remember Ice Climbers getting a new game when they were introduced in Melee.

    I do remember Pit getting a new game when he was introduced in Brawl. Megaman got a collection too. Him being a character would raise interest in him, and possibly lead to more sales for Zip Lash.

    Mega Man has always been popular, I doubt him getting in Smash had anything to do with it. Chibi-Robo is still fairly popular. Getting in Smash may cause more people to check out the franchise, but if the franchise is going to die, it's going to die. Pit's franchise was dead before he was even in Smash, Chibi-Robo has still been getting games.

    His creators have said if Zip Lash doesn't sell well this could be his last game. Hence why more interest in him would help keep him alive.

    I'm aware of that, but his situation isn't nearly as bad as Pit's was. Even if Chibi-Robo was added to Smash, by the time he gets put in as DLC, Zip Lash will already be released (Unless Sakurai plans on releasing Chibi-Robo DLC in the next few weeks).
