    The best way to use Marcus is to give him boss kills, he gains lots of EXP from those, just like everyone else. It's all the OTHER guys you don't want to overuse him on. Anyway, I'm pretty sure you get a Horseslayer before Uhai... somewhere. That might be Hard only.

    well, everyone else benefits from exp a lot more than marcus, to the point of a full level up, and marcus is both a jeigan and prepromote. best used as a meatshiel or replacement for dead units

    ^ Not necessarily. Marcus will still be levelling up normally even with him gaining less EXP than unpromoted units. Marcus not being used to his fullest may seem like it's making your team stronger because of that very EXP gain, but all not using him really results with is a higher turncount, and a harder time at the game itself. Meaning it's not stronger than it would be with Marcus being used.
