i wish somehow pokemon could incorparate some sort of tier based battling. mainly because if you look up the pokemon vgc. they use very over powered pokes like mega kaghaskan, greninja, and aiegislash. this would make things balanced.

    last year a guy won with, no he won thanks to a pachirisu, a pokemon mostly considered weak, so your argument is invalid, but i see what you mean and they kind of do by banning legendaries, but doing any further limits the posibilitys for creative plays.

    Actually, the Pachirisu thing kind of makes the case for limiting the meta or mixing up the rules. Because the VGC2014 set allowed only stuff from the kalos dex, there were a lot more unique teams and sets, and stuff like support pachirisu could shine. When they opened the meta to nearly everything in 2015, most teams had the same pokemon. Most creative sets lost to the cookie-cutter sets.
