Question

So, I'm trying to defeat the Unicorn on Stage 1 of New Game Plus(Just assuming that's what you call the second playthrough to get the good ending.). The shield can't seem to do much to it, though, if at all. I think I need the knife again, but I'm afraid of dropping the shield. What if it doesn't respawn in Stage 6 of NG+? Anyone know?

    Unicorn is immune to the shield. Get the lance/knife, and don't worry: the shield will show up in Stage 6. Good luck!
