Well, wait a minute. I've had my Wii U in the same spot in my room for almost a year now, and rarely if ever does my connection conk out so easily. Is there something else at work here? Another device straining the signal, perhaps? Is it possible that the router needs to reset? Or does God just not want me to play online right now?

    This is ridiculous. I just got back to the lobby, and it didn't do this the first time it crapped out on me. Just when I decide to start playing again after a week-and-a-half long break from splatting... and I have to work the rest of the week, so I won't really have another chance to play until after Splatfest.
