***Challenge Chalice Week 10*** Link's Awakening Competition: Throw all your bombs, shoot all your arrows, use all your magic, lose all but one heart, and empty your wallet of all but 100 rupees, because it's time for my personal favorite of the competitions! The rules are a bit complicated, so they will be in the comments.

  • It has nothing to do with the Mambo. 44 points! Although I'm fairly certain 46 is possible. I'll try getting that for a bit...

  • You see the same arrows I do eh? :p It seems possible to still claim the bombs on that screen, but I can't quite do it. The fact that those aren't the ones you have over me using the unnamed questionable tactic makes me rethink things though. Hmmm ... I also knew you could leap and throw the Boomerang, which is no help collecting items, but it creates a loophole destroying enemies before rafting.

  • 46 points without the aforementioned trick! I was right, there was an extra arrow I could grab. I'll make this the score to beat until Stagger figures out what I did, since this was much harder to get than that 55. Don't worry, you'll find it!

  • That of course would be out of bounds, and it should be pretty clear if we get any participants that it was in play. The Boots have a funny effect while on the raft that I've found no way to harness ... I'm pretty baffled how you're managing to take both routes on the same run though.

  • No, I'm only collecting items that are found on the ride. I can say with certainty that destroying out-of-bounds enemies is out of the question.

  • I wasn't suggesting you were, rather that it would probably be clear if anyone tried just because Link can do it from the raft, based on the odd heart and rupee totals it would create ... Incoming 46 btw.

  • That was kind of tough! Once you uncover the right directional inputs to reach things, it's a great focus exercise. Just to spare myself a comment on the other post, of course even a zero game over Level 1 Life challenge is “possible” in AoL. It's just ... unholy. :p

  • Well I gave it a cursory look, but then I got distracted. Not like the time I poured into Cucco Ranch Endless without success ... :p You can explain it to me some time.

  • How close did you get on the Cucco Ranch, out of curiosity?

  • Nowhere. I have no great use for the pausing until the five minute mark, but I only reached it a couple times in a few lengthy sessions of trying. I will pursue it at a later date, but my admiration for the fact you pulled it off has grown.

  • Stagger came in first with 46 points, while Gage was in second with 25. Unfortunately, there was no third participant. Unofficially, I tied for first with 46 points, unless you count the 55 I got. Here are the final scores for Link's Awakening: Stagger-25 Gage-17 JP10-17 Justin86-17 Logan-9 Elzonire-4 NoFaceFred-4 Razer8-4 Sciz-4
