Just a tip... Don't design courses to KILL the player, design them so the player has FUN...

  • A large majority of Miiverse posts here simply consist of creators boasting about how hard their stages are. Mix that with what's already in the 100 Mario challenge, and I think a lot of people don't get this at all. I don't understand the appeal myself.

  • Takes less than an hour to make a "hard" level. To make a GOOD balanced level, it take a few hours. That's why .

  • Sometimes I "dumb" down my level by adding lots of mushroom power-ups so the player doesn't have to start over from the beginning if they die. We really need checkpoints.

  • Don't forget though, no checkpoints in SMB 3. Arguably the best Mario Bros. game. Just have to be realistic with the design.
