    If you are going to use Legault instead of Matthew, I'd recommend keeping one of them as your theif and the other as an Assassin. Mainly because when a Theif promotes into an Assassin, they lose their ability to steal items from enemies. Though, since you get the theif promotional item late in the game, there aren't that many things to steal.

    I dunno. I would hardly call having stolen a Guiding Ring, and being able to steal a Silver Card "useless". After all, the Thief class's greatest strength is not in its combat strength, but in its ability to steal items from enemies and open doors and chests.

    Sorry I phrased that wrong. What I meant to say was that the items that can be stolen from enemies after the Fell Contract is available aren't as valuable as the items that can be stolen before the Fell Contract. The Guiding Ring isn't that valuable unless you need money or have a magic user that hasn't promoted yet (4 Guiding Rings are available before this and there's also the Earth Seal).
