I had a blast with the Tri Force Heroes demo yesterday! Aside from some significant connection problems, the game played great. The communication commands worked really well for the most part. There's nothing more satisfying then overcoming a challenge and mashing the cheer button with your two new allies! I just hope it feels as fresh in the retail game; replaying cleared stages wasn't as fun.

  • It appears there are going to be a number of different requirements to clear all the challenges for each Drabland stage. I've heard there are quite a number of dungeons too. Obviously the amount of collecting to get all of the materials for every costume will add a lot for completionists like us bro! I'm really excited for it after the demo.

  • same here but i'm probably not going to play online as much unless it is local play so i'm not getting mad with the other players as frequently

  • Man, I totally forgot that the demo was allowing online play last night! Good thing online play will be back tonight and tomorrow as well. Are you planning on picking the game up on release? Also, from what you played, would you say the game is comparable to Four Swords Adventures, or did it have more of its own feel? Either way, I'm excited for the game, I ended up preordering it yesterday.

  • Jayse, already have it preordered! :) It's much more of a strategic game than 4 Swords from what I can tell. 4S kinda was loose with the puzzles because of the up-to-4-players mechanic. The exactly-3-players makes it much more focused. A lot of puzzles can still be solved in many different ways, which is phenomenal!

  • Joel, having two partners for local play seems to be the optimal way to play the game. Unfortunately I only really have one friend from home who is keen on picking up the game.

  • Now I can say that I agree completely with your post Benjamin. I had tons of fun playing it tonight, and even something as simple as mashing the cheer command at the end of the level was fun, just like you said! Even though the A Link Between Worlds assets are being used, Tri Force Heroes feels like its own game so far. I'm looking forward to the full game next week!

  • Now, I'm not going to say anything against Miiverse code of conduct here, but we should play together! Maybe we could talk in a private message about the way to do that?

    Yeahs0
  • I'm game! Can we do that at this point in the demo, or are you talking about when it comes out?

    Yeahs0
  • When the game comes out. You can't play with friends in the demo unless it's local and with two other people who also have the demo. The retail release will be a lot more manageable with download play, friend and stranger pairing, and none of this time-limited online play.

    Yeahs0
  • Yeah that's what I thought. But yes, I'm down to play with you when the game comes out!
