Well, I'm glad to have gotten every Green Star and stamp excluding the five "beat every level with this character" stamps. About the death count, I'm too lazy to go to another level and get a power up after losing a life, so I would just reload a save from before the death. Oh yeah, I was a little surprised to see that the Wii U start up menu acknowledges your birthday.
