Can someone please explain how the Rotting Meat works? Like, can I throw some down and run past an enemy? Does it distract them, or just draw them in a direction?

    I believe it just draws them in that direction. You will want to find a hiding spot as it walks by. The flares are the only way to walk past them as far as I know without getting hurt.

    Dang. I just don't understand how going stealth is a viable option for most of the game. At least until you get the flares...

    I believe that when you first get access to the basement The Director will trade ammo for flares. I have replayed it and it is a challenge. There are other places that you can use meat strategically. For example, in the meat locker room where you get the pot to collect water drop some meat right where the pot was.     hanging meat and move past him and it stays there not to return to the hall. The flares i've used so far have only been in the basement. And so far I have yet to fire a shot.
