    The Hero's Shade isn't a Stalfos. The Hero's Shade is the spiritual manifestation of the regret that the Hero of Time didn't pass on "lessons of his life to those who came after him". Basically Hero's Shade is the Hero of Time's spirit.

    @ Eric: During an interview about the game Aonuma said the `fall` wasn't really a fall, it was the transition from Hyrule to Termina, similar to the cracks in ALBW or the portals in ALttP Even if it was a long fall, we have seen Link fall from great heights with only minor damage (1 heart at most). However, if Link lands on a Deku Flower from any height he will receive no damage.

    There is also the fact that TP Link is a blood relative and descended from OoT Link. This means that after the events of MM, Link returned to Hyrule, trained in advanced fighting techniques, and had offspring.

    oot link went to look for navi in mm then they find skull kid and link falls but lands on a flower so no damage was done then he saves termina and leaves with epona back to hyrule then he probably marries malon then in twilight the kokiri forest is turned into ordon village and oot link had a kid link from tp then the heros shade or oot links spirit helps tp link to finish ganon
