So I finally uploaded my first (and most likely only) "automatic, don't press anything" course today... I gotta say, while this type of course might take zero effort on the player's end of things, it kinda surprised me just how much effort it required on the creator's end of things! So much trial and error of lining things up, and then having everything get ruined from the smallest tweak...

  • Oh, and another good thing about automatic levels that I hadn't realized previously: they make good material for the title screen!

  • That's why I try to give my stars based on things like the amount of effort, thought, and/or creativity put into a stage, regardless of it being easy, hard, auto, kaizo, or musical. I kinda find it unfortunate that some ppl say they outright pass over any auto stage when some of them can surprise and make you smile if you let them. Im finding the possibilities are endless in SMM.

  • So... did you find a problem that lead you to remove it? I was looking forward to trying it... the screenshot looked crazy, lol.

  • No, I never delete stuff... Maybe this is Nintendo's "let's delete unpopular levels" policy? Except it's still showing up as uploaded on my end...

  • Odd.. but maybe its because I was already in SMM when you uploaded the stage and when I checked your list it hadn't been refreshed for me yet. I'll check again next time I play.

  • Yeah, they need to have the "Refresh" button work for individual people's profiles, instead of just the overall course lists...
