I'm debating on whether I should get this game, Super Mario Maker, or wait for Triforce Heroes on 3DS. Which one do you think is most worth my money?

  • Triforce Heroes is being hyped with no one knowing if it's any good or not. The trailers/demo certainly make it seem to be incredibly easy, and I'm not that big on doing online co-op with 2 random people and no way to communicate the puzzles, and you need 3 people to do local. Singleplayer looks boring with those mechanics. MM will drop $10 in price eventually, but those yarn amiibos will be gone

  • With MM you have to look online for collections of levels that are decent. There's so much junk levels out there. Not being official Nintendo levels, it loses some of the magic; and with no default levels to clear for an accomplishment, no real insentive to keep playing. I think WW is a safer bet for now, as it'll keep you coming back on its own with no effort extended by you.

  • Ok, thank you for the advice, although I'm getting Triforce Heroes eventually, regardless of whether I get it now or later. I'm definitely getting Wooly World over Super Mario Maker, now.

  • I love both of the Four Swords Spin off titles more than some main Zelda games, so I'm getting Triforce Heroes anyway. I love hard games, (Castlevania 1, 3, 4, and Rondo are under my completion belt.) but A Link Between Worlds was very VERY easy, and I still loved 100%~ing it.

  • Link Between Worlds had decent puzzles/dungeons/overworld/plot, difficulty aside. And at least with Triforce Heroes you get the totem mode so you aren't slowed down too much, but I still hate that it takes 3 people for local.

  • At least you only need one copy of the game to play local multiplayer, right?

  • In Mario Maker's defense, I have had a ball playing random levels with my little sister. We even love playing the so-called "lame" or "bad" levels; it's fun to laugh at them, if nothing else. So if you have friends or family to play with locally, it can be worth it. Yoshi's Woolly World is also great, though, 'specially if you DON'T have friends or family to play with.

  • If you can find a demo it may help you decide. Good luck!
