The process that is absolutely necessary to wear a custom skin yourself and not just your amiibo, is ridiculous! -Read my replies below to know the steps necessary in order to wear a custom color yoshi skin-

    Step 1: Head into the Yoshi Hut. Step 2: Select one of the yoshi skins. Step 3: Select the amiibo option. Step 4: Tap and hold your Yarn Yoshi amiibo onto the Gamepad's NFC reader. Step 5: Now select the Change Color option. Step 6: Choose one of the three color presets. Step 7: Exit then select the Save As option. Step 8: Select the Overwrite option next. To be continued...

    Step 9: Tap and hold your Yarn Yoshi amiibo for a longer extent of time (wait until it tells you to remove it). Step 10: Exit the Yoshi Hut. Step 11: Now play any Yoshi level. *Special levels are alright as well! Step 12: Once the level starts, tap your amiibo onto the Gamepad's NFC reader to receive the double Yoshi.     Step 14: A question should prompt after exitting the level. Choose the Overwrite option. Step 15: Enter the amiibo hut. Step 16: Look for the Yoshi amiibo skin. It should be wearing the custom color and skin you had chosen. Step 17: Select the custom yoshi skin. Congratulations!~ Now you're wearing a custom skin...
