    I know. It's probably the most unique of the Amiibo costumes, and I'm gonna have to buy another Amiibo to use it. I get that they wanted a functional alternative to the harder-to-find Yarn Yoshi Amiibo, but even the Smash Bros. Yoshis are getting tough to find.

    I tried that too. It's weird how the game can't tell the difference between the SSB one and the Super Mario one.

    I think that it can. When I scanned the Smash Yoshi Amiibo during the level, the game showed a model of the figure before creating a CPU partner for me. I'd guess that scanning the Super Mario Yoshi Amiibo would cause that model to appear. Or they could just have identical NFC chips and the model would be the same.

    What's Especially bad is that The Pokemon Company isn't allowing exclusive costumes from the Pokemon Amiibos!
