    Hello! I'm Hiromasa Shikata, the director of The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. I'd like to thank all of you out there on Miiverse for having me here! So, why did we decide on three players rather than four this time around? When three players are split up and, say, two players have to catch up with the third player or one player gets lost and the other two have to work together to try and find them, all three players naturally develop a sense of cooperation. Four players divide evenly into two teams, and I think that they might sometimes lose touch with the spirit of cooperation. We knew we wanted to focus on cooperation in Tri Force Heroes, and the concept of a triangular relationship between three players was something we talked about a lot. The core gameplay mechanic is that players can lift one another to form a totem and work together to solve puzzles, which means that vertical puzzles become a part of the fun. These totems are less complicated to form with three people than with four, so it was perfect. We've gone down a player from Four Swords Adventures, but I think you'll find that the challenges of three-player cooperation will bring you and your friends closer. I know that all of you out there on Miiverse probably have a lot of questions and maybe even some reservations about Tri Force Heroes, so we'll try to answer them in this Miiting.

    Mr Shikata was also the director of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, so I'm sure he's got some good vertical puzzles up his sleeve already! You might get frustrated in online multiplayer mode, but please make good use of your communication icons, work with your friends to overcome all sorts of challenges, and experience an extraordinary sense of accomplishment when you succeed! Also, even though cooperation between three players is at the heart of the game's entertainment value, you can of course still play on your own!     I've certainly tried to wrap my head around the idea of multiplayer link, but i can't seem to. Every time i think Zelda i think solitary link killin' baddies... of course i'll have to try the demo before passing judgement completely, and if anything i'm sure it has an incredible soundtrack.     Está claro que el juego ha callado todas esas bocazas que decían que sería una basura. Si bien no es el Zelda que esperamos, tampoco pretende serlo. Y aún así, tenemos puzles bien planteados que nos obligan a actuar en serio y en sintonía con los otros. Y los iconos de comunicación, más que ser una molestia, ¡le añaden un toque de emoción al juego!

    I think you have to have more flexability in the way this plays. I would love to play this local with my young son. But I dont have a third player. Therefore i cant play with him and this game is useless to me. Having option of a bot or allowing one player to control two characters would of been helpfull.

    Arigato gosaimasu aonuma-san & Shikata-san !! This games is so perfect !!! The cooperation is the center of this game (Like for four sword) and this is so cool !!! Playing with my friends is funnier than the traditionnal the legend of zelda but the traditionnal TLOZ are better than TLOZ based in the cooperation !!!

    Ich finde das Spiel durchaus interessant und die E3 war eigentlich voll cool!Man sich die Spiele nur genauer angucken und abwarten.Ich war erst von ACHHD voll entäuscht und jetzt will ich das Spiel unbedingt haben!Genauso ist es bei Tri Force Heroes erst dachte ich Naja und jetzt finde ich es toll!DAUMEN HOCH FÜR NINTENDO!!!

    Et en plus un coopération à 3 doit étre mieux et plus amusantes qu'une à 4. En plus pour trouver 3 autre joueur c'est moins facile que pour trouver 2 joueur. Et puis 3 c'est le symbole de la triforce, donc c plus logique et mieux pour jouer à 3 que à 4.

    am I the only one annoyed by the fact that miiverse added a "looking for team mate" but still refuse letting people add eachother on their friends list, I mean you can send friend requests on the wii u but not on the ds. What gives nintendo?

    It'd be cool if Zelda U also has an optional multi-player mode. Maybe it could have special characters that live in the Sacred Realm, such as the sages, whom Link can summon to his aid (via Amiibo, maybe?) and fight by his side. Then a second player could join in or drop out at any time and take control of this ally. Just thinking out loud. I don't expect it to actually happen. But it'd be neat.
