I'd like to cut straight to the chase. Three-player cooperation is the main selling point of this game, but to be honest, I think there are lots of adults who'd find it difficult to get three people together to play. I really hope those of us who don't have so many gamer friends won't be forced to sit this one out...

Of course there is! Well, I say that now, but at first we didn't have a single-player mode, and I went around saying "It's so much fun to play with three people! Who needs single player?!" But then I reluctantly made one because Mr Aonuma told me to. That's the truth. But once we'd made it, I was surprised at how good it was, and so we put it in the game!

In single player you can use "doppels", which are dolls that look like you and let you play as if there were more than one of you. You can switch back and forth between these doppels as you go through the game. At first I thought "Three-player cooperation to the end! This doppel thing is just a bonus", but then when we made it I realized that single player made the game feel like more of a puzzle game and was a completely different kind of fun from multiplayer.

Can you play through the whole game just by using doppels?

Yes, if you really work at it! Fundamentally we made the game based on the concept that three people working together would be the most fun and interesting, so there are some levels that will be far more difficult if you're just using doppels. On the other hand, some levels will also be a lot easier with doppels. Anyway, it's definitely possible to clear all of the levels in single player!

As I've said, you can certainly play through the game on your own, but my vote still goes for multiplayer, so please try it out and have fun with it! You might find some elements of playing with other people a bit frustrating, but I'll sure you'll get used to it in the end.

No, we're not that cruel, you know! Each player needs their own copy of the game for Online Play and Local Play, but Download Play works as long as just one person has a copy!

You can play through all of the levels, but of course there's a limit to the items and outfits that you can obtain. I think that the people who buy the game will have the most enjoyable experience!

Ah, OK, I get it. At first you just think that you'll have some fun with Download Play, but while you're actually playing you'll start to think that it would be even MORE fun if you had the game, right?

Also, your data still gets saved to the SD card during Download Play, so if you buy the game later you can keep playing from where you left off!

It definitely seems like the perfect package, doesn't it? More than that, though, I'm glad that enjoying Tri Force Heroes is a lot easier to jump into and enjoy than I would have guessed. When I first heard about it, I thought it might be too complicated to play with two other people, but I think you really thought of everything!

What a relief! You've definitely soothed all of my biggest fears when it comes to playing online, single player, and Download Play. It makes me feel better that even someone who doesn't have many gamer friends (like you, right, Mr Shikata?) still gives Tri Force Heroes their seal of approval! I think we'll have to talk about the smaller details of the game (and hopefully hear some inside stories from the game's development) in a separate Miiting! I doubt I'll be able to stop thinking about Tri Force Heroes any time soon. As always, we'll announce the second half of the Miiting ahead of time.

I Don't have a 3DS so I'm more interested in more info about Zelda U. Could anybody help me out?? Or at least when yer all gonna fix Miiverse for real, cosidering that the redesign and YouTube update haven't helped the trolling and spamming problems. They've only exasaserbated the situation??
