as much as i like this game, i feel that namco played it way too safe with the playable characters. they have the series staples: goku, vegeta, gohan, freiza, piccolo, trunks, mujin buu, and a few others. there r SOO many assist characters that would have worked as playable characters. and this is coming from someone who's not a dragon ball fan at all. hopefully with the sequel.

    It's been a while since the last DBZ handheld game, so it makes sense why they would play it safe. I honestly hope they'll add some depth to the mechanics for the next game. DBZ games have always been fun, but simple. Some added depth could take this to the next level.

    Oh my god, they re-used SupersonicWarriors' assets, didn't they? That's what I take from the interface and character icons here, just hoping it isn't all over the place.

    @nicholas, maybe, but why not have all the forms of goku and vegeta playable at least: super sayian 2, 3, etc? Also, why is ssgss goku playable but ssgss vegeta only an assist?

    I also feel the game would have benefitted from more unlockable characters. There's only 3: broly, beerus, and super sayian god goku. Why not have us start with the good guys (goku, vegeta, piccilo, gohan, krillian and future trunks) and have us unlock the villians (cell, frieza, kid buu, etc.) and the super sayian forms by going through adventure mode?

    @Ove that would make sense since Arc System works also made the Super Sonic Warriors games. But this is coming from the creators of Blazblue & Guilty Gear.

    They also could have structured adventure mode better. For any given fight, u can play as ANY character on the roster, including villians. Really takes away from the fact that you're going on a journey as goku to retrieve the 7 dragon balls. they should have had it where u can only play as goku at the start, but unlock more allies to play as like gohan and piccolo as u meet them in the story.
