I tapped in my Pikachu Amiibo, and got 'Amiibo Yoshi'. Is this supposed to happen?

    It's because The Pokemon company is being really strict with the usage of Pokemon Amiibo's in games. I mean for pete's sake the THIRD PARTY AMIIBO'S HAVE BETTER USAGE & work in more games than the one's from a Nintendo franchise.

    Yep. Super Mario Maker was fortunate to even have sprites of the characters. But there are no sounds. The Pokemon Company is a rather stingy group IMO.

    It's supposed to happen. When you put in an invalid amiibo, it gives you "amiibo Yoshi". This is supposed to happen.
