    You can be skinny and have diabetes. Diabetes is not an abundance of fat in your body, it is when either A. The pancreas doesn't function at all. Or B. The pancreas kind of works. Both ways, too much sugar could be entering the body, causing severe damage to the body. Sugar isn't a type/form of fat.
