which sonic game besides this one do you think deserves more praise than what it got? allot of people have been calling the games bad because it's not sonic 1,2,cd,or 3 and knuckles(sometimes without even playing them)

    I love sonic unleashed, and the adventure series those games keep being regarded as bad as 06 when it really isn't

    I am usually under the impression that the Adventure Series was among the best 3D games Sonic has had. I still play Sonic Adventure on my Sega Dreamcast. Both Adventure games received huge reviews. Sonic Unleashed was not bad and could be fun. But I really only liked the Day stages. The best recent 3D games since Adventure was Colors and Generations.

    Definitely Heroes. It plays just like the Adventure games, but people say it's worse. I don't get it. (I love Heroes, by the way)

    The reason why SA2 is better then Heroes is because the characters control better, It had a way better multiplayer, a kart racer, and a awesome chao garden. This gives the game way more re play value especially with friends. Heroes has a copy and pasted multiplayer...........and thats it.

    My opinion on Heroes for the gamecube. not ps2 because that whole version is just...ps2 Heroes. The special stage system in the game honestly really bugs me, i lose the key so easily when im being careful as possible. In older games when i lose access i get a bit upset because i lost it, but it felt fair. In heroes to me, it mostly makes me feel robbed by the developers then me messing up.

    On Team Rose's side it happens hardly as much, and doesn't seem so cheap on Team Darks side of the game. Somehow the emeralds on Team Roses side are a TON more easy and i get the emerald. I don't know why this is, but im not gonna complain about that either. The special stage itself is a nice idea to me. fast race for the emerald fun, but the special stages feel half functional and half broken.

    Thats The first con for me, the special stage system was just done poorly here. 2nd negative in my opinion is the level design being reused the way it is. All stages for every team are nearly the exact same, just little things here and there...why? Granted, it's not a BIG deal because i enjoy the stages to an extent, but from a critical stand point i can't help but feel thats kinda lazy.

    3rd the Team battles with your team against the other is just...awful in my opinion. Traditional fighting them with the speed character wastes a lot of time and i still eventually get knocked out. The way to make them easier is thundershooting and using the speed characters Air B maneuver. Heck, the other Team does thundershoot to easily knock you out...All the time. They are just bad to me.

    I would mention the automatic switch from rail to rail as a con, but you can always just traditionally jump on them and you won't miss because the Automatic rail switch mechanic got messed up.

    In my opinion the controls are without question awkward to use and all, but whenever i play this game now i feel more in control then before. I guess i just adjusted to the controls. And i know...the voices in the levels. I don't know why, but for some reason characters talking through a level never bothered me unless im at a hard section and i hear the same lines over and over cause i keep dieing

    Small Nitpicks that don't mean much to be a negative. Tail's voice actor, the super forms not being playable, and a certain other thing i'll adress soon. Tail's sonic heroes voice is just...So the super forms Nitpick, uh, Yeah, after all this emerald searching why can't i use the super forms in levels? Maybe after the last story so you can't transform when you move to a new Team in the main story.

    But heres something. You know how at times in levels you switch to the flight character and you drop the other two characters onto switches and you run over and stand on the last switch? After dropping the two others off you can run around with the flight character without flying around. And these controls are much smoother then the main controls Why couldn't feel smooth like this the whole time?

    Again, those three things are small Nitpicks, not strong enough to call as a Negative for the game itself. Sonic heroes is a nice game to me, but theres few things like recycled level design, poor chaos emerald system thats REQUIRED to get the true ending, and the Team fights, that bumps it down as an averagely good game to me, but not as bad as many make it out to be.

    *The voices not bothering me through levels is NOT limited to sonic games either. Pretty much in any game i played with characters chatting through a level it never bothered me unless i kept dieing somewhere and i heard the same lines over and over, thars when voices become truly annoying*
