    It's based off of the N64 controller. See the circle on his belly? That's the control stick. The gray arms, and section on his body represents the 3 handles on the controller. And finally, his spines and shell represent the colors of the buttons. A (Blue), B (Green), Start (Red), and the C buttons (Yellow).
