    And his stats also strongly resemble that of a Hero's (High Skill, Speed, Con, Defense), he once worked alongside Wallace in the Caelin Army, it's heavily implied that the friend of his Nergal revived was Kishuna, and a few other things.

    Yep, I remember reading about that. I also remember he was an assassin for Nergal.

    He was. He gathered quintessence for Nergal by killing people (that's why he killed Lucius' father). In exchange, Nergal revived Renault's friend (most likely Kishuna).
