  I'm assuming you've now seen the Robin Newman incident. What do you think of it? Also, try to explain why FE:A, Dual Destinies, and PLvsAA all did the same crossdressing plot around this time. FE:A was too obvious, but the AA games were better.

  @Noah: I haven't played PLvsAA, so I can't comment there. I can't think of one in Fire Emblem: Awakening, aside from, what was his name, Libra? Which if anything was less crossdressing, more people mistaking his gender based on his appearance (which is nothing new in FE, 7 did the same thing), either that or I'm seriously forgetting someone.

  ...case in point, I doubt there's much connection between the three, but that's just my take on it. In Dual Destinies case, I think it was a setup for a pretty good plot twist (And some great humor, honestly, was it just me that laughed throughout that entire scene at how much Newman's character changed?) and that's about it. I don't think it's much of a deep subject.

  @ JohnnyTLP Glad you're not offended somehow by Robin. I did enjoy him/her. By the way, Robin has got to be related to Owain. Can't you just see her saying "CAN'T CONTROL!". Simon Blackquill is obviously Lon'qu's son judging by his clothing.

  @Noah: At most I find Robin to be an odd character from a writing standpoint. I'm not sure why Capcom went with that particular backstory for a plot twist, but it got the job done, so I've no complaints with it. Plus I mean, come on, the fact that she goes from Chuck Norris to frail anime character has got to be worth SOME laughs, right?

  @ JohnnyTLP I was referring to "Marth". "He" was a terrible crossdresser because "his" hair was too long, and "he" obviously had the wrong body type. PLvsAA probably did the best crossdressing plot. It's impossible to tell who the person is just by looking at them.

  @Noah: I'm an idiot for not remembering that, thanks for the memory jog. I guess if nothing else, that's a testament to how terrible that disguise is. I had a lot of Awakening spoiled for me before I ever played it, but I'm pretty confident that anyone playing it blind could have at least somewhat seen that plot revelation coming.
