Didn't know what to get: this or triforce heroes? But after I played that demo for triforce heroes, I had a good game. Then a bad connection, then a game with a guy who was trying to help. But had no idea what to do. If we could use a Mic to communicate, we could have told him what to do. But because Nintendo thought it was brilliant to make a game's main purpose is online, then take away our....

  • *Tries to "yeah" your comments for 10 minutes, finally succeeding* Nah, it's cool. I'm just glad I was able to help you understand. The demo wasn't all bad; the manual was really cool to look through (recommended if you haven't done so already), the music ball is a fun distraction (better than Squid Juml, IMO), and the sneak peek at some of the outfits was nice.

  • Oh, I do have a question thpugh, you beat the single player right? How long did it take you to beat it?

    Yeahs1
  • Cool. Thanks. Music ball? The only outfit I liked was the heart one though.

  • I have done a good number of challenges in the Single Player mode, but no, I haven't done any of the levels "normally" in it. 32 levels, a first run through one will probably take 15-30 minutes, depending on how quickly you can solve the puzzles and on the level's length. So...12-15 hours, maybe? That's not including the 3 challenges for each level, more or less quadrupling the amount of...

  • ...content. I've already spent nearly 50 hours with the game... The Single Player content is the same as the multiplayer, except you can control each hero rather than just one. Although there are some tweaks to the levels to account for this, such as an added leniency in tasks that would otherwise require simultaneous inputs (hitting three switches at the same time, for example, is changed...

  • Oh, okay. Thanks. :) so, do you think this game Ius cannon?

    Yeahs1
  • What do you get if you win the music ball game?

    Yeahs1
  • It's canon in the sense that it takes place shortly after ALBW, as confirmed by Nintendo. But its plot is silly and lighthearted (but still fun), and doesn't contribute to the overarching story of the timeline at all. A side-game more than a spinoff, so it really doesn't matter to me whether it will be "officially" canon or not.

    Yeahs1
  • There's no winning. It just keeps going until you let it drop, giving you a score once it ends and a negligable amount of rupees. Like I said, just a fun little distraction while you're waiting for players to join. Or to play once they do, if everyone wants to. =P

  • Oh cool. :) well, to be honest, it looks like a four swords game to me. According to Nintendo? What do you mean?

    Yeahs1
  • It is, basically, only with the competitive nature of the Four Swords games removed (with good reason. If it were still there, then playing with randoms really would be unplayable. =P). I couldn't tell you the exact source off the top of my head, but shortly before the game's release, Nintendo released a statement that the Link in this game is the same one from ALBW (despite the different...

  • ...design), and it takes place a few years after the events of that game.

    Yeahs1
  • But the game doesn't? It sounds to me like Nintendo is saying it's a part of that timeline.

    Yeahs1
  • No, nowhere in the game does it allude to any other part of the timeline. In that sense, it is a standalone title. But as you pointed out, that means very little. Four Swords was stand-alone, yet is part of the timeline. Hyrule Warriors connects directly to three different games, yet it is not. So who can say at this point, right?

    Yeahs2
  • Very true. I think Nintendo said that because they want it to be.

    Yeahs1
  • Yoshi's Wooly World sound fun, but if you use local play or download play, you can communicate with them that way! Also, I think the reason You can't use the mic is so that you don't swear or anything like that.

    Yeahs1
  • Jack, I don't know anyone to play local or download play. And yeah, i'm sure that is the reason. But questions: should it be that way? With Nintendo playing daddy? Look how Microsoft and Sony does it, if you don't like a guy, for any reason, BLOCK HIM! And if you're afraid of your son/daughter hearing swearing, etc. Go into the settings and turn off Mic from others! It's not that hard. I'm really

  • Sick of Nintendo playing daddy! It's NOT their job too! Give the parents the option themselves and guess what? Real daddys will do their job!!!
