    Yeah, from what little I have seen of X7, I can agree that the story (including things like X's sudden personality change to being REALLY whiny) seems to be awful in X7. Also... does that mean that some people complain about Legends for the same reason a few people complained about X7, the mere fact it was 3D? Odd. Also, been a long time since you've played Legends...

    ...I can unfortunately say from experience that, unless you've played the game fairly recently, sometimes, memories of a game end up being a LOT better than the game itself. I know that because of some games I used to love when I was younger that, going back to them today, I now realize WHY some of them got such, well, average review scores (60/100, 6/10, 3/5, etc.)...

    ...others, mind you, I may actually somehow like even more than I used to. For example, one of them kinda reminds me of an easier F-Zero with power-ups and stunts. Though I can see a few minor flaws in the game, such as the lack of enough stage gimmicks to make things not too repetitive, they don't ever feel like too much to make the game BAD...

    ...also, this one actually got BELOW average reviews. Mind you, most of the reviews are hard to find due to a surprisingly large number of them being only in magazines, so I actually don't know what they found so wrong with the game, but still... Yeah, I can see what you're getting at with the game maybe being good despite the reviews...

    ...but A) I don't have Legends 1 so I can't say from experience. B) Yes, me and my siblings seriously are trying to get as many games from the series as possible. And yes, that MAY even include the INCREDIBLY hard-to-find and obscure Rockman & Forte: Challenger from the Future (I have a sibling who's learning Japanese, which may help with understanding it), if we can get a WonderSwan for it...

    ...re-releases count, mind you, we aren't THAT serious about collecting. Spin-offs that mainly have the name in common MegaMan and not much more are probably not going to be things we go out of our way for, E.G. Mega Man's Soccer would require that we get a SNES, unless it gets re-released, and getting a SNES for a game that might not be fantastic is a tad bit overkill, methinks...

    ...and Mega Man's Soccer, the ability to attack and the characters aside, doesn't really have much to do with MegaMan as best as I can tell, so that probably means we won't go out of our way for it. Rockman Strategy, on the other hand, well, it wouldn't require we go THAT out of our way to get, it at least (we wouldn't need a new system!), so that one might not be as out of the question as Soccer.

    i forgot to mention the controls in x7 are not great either,the dash jump has been nerfed to the point where it feels stiff and the lock-on rather inconsistent,there are 2d sections are just as bad 3d ones,auto scrolling levels that are painfully slow,boring,and unresponsive.clements review on youtube has a more indepth review.

    Well, I'm actually intentionally avoiding footage of the game (what I've already seen is probably what I will see until I play the game), on the off chance I can maybe do something that, as far as I know, nobody else has done: Record their first run through Mega Man X7 (a semi-blind run, basically). If someone else HAS actually done that, well, it would be nice to know...

    ...and the final boss (because I've heard some people say it kinda made the game worth it, and based on what I've seen of it, well, let's just say I'm looking forwards to fighting it even if I end up disliking or despising the rest of the game). I also think I saw a bit of the boss rush to see if the bosses were also 3D, and maybe some VERY brief clips of other parts of the game, but over all..
