    Craft a Whirlpool Rod. It has Sea fish damage + on it, which'll help take down the Golden Swordfish. The other additional effect can be whatever you choose to go for.

    But here's some things I personally recommend; Subterranean Scales will give Sea fish damage +, and having double damage could help you out. Giant Claws will give Strike Damage +. Tool Upgrade Stone + will give you an additional 10 Tool Power, i.e; strengthening your Rod. Or if you have the DLC, use a Soul Stone [+] instead. It'll give 15 [20] Tool Power instead.
