    The normal Yoshi amiibo unlocks a plastic-y cosume in the amiibo hut. A Yarn Yoshi amiibo lets you change the color of most patterns, and save those colors to the amiibo. When you scan the amiibo into a level, it will appear as the color that is saved to it, and when you exit the level you can save that color to the amiibo hut. So, a Yarn Yoshi amiibo nearly triples the patterns in the game.
