In my opinion, I don't think Twilight Princess HD looks THAT MUCH better. It does look brighter and most certainly less muddy/dull, but to me, the difference in detail just doesn't seem that great. I think I was just hoping for more because of how beautiful the HD TP Link model looked in the image from the investor meeting.

  • It's a matter of artstyle, The Wind Waker HD didn't really have such a big workaround in terms of graphics, the difference is that the artstyle of TWW makes it more favorable for this kind of remaster than TP's. Personally I think the textures look a lot less blurry than the original and Hyrule Field looks a little more colorful. That's that for the graphics.

  • Reggie said later on they'll talk about gameplay and such(for one we don't know what's the amiibo used for exactly).

  • The Wolf Link Amiibo is actually what I find the most interesting about the TP HD game. "Some data saved to the Wolf Link Amiibo in Twilight Princess HD will be carried over to the new Zelda game on Wii U." - Reggie

  • TP was ridiculously easy. Enemies only did half a heart worth of damage to you. You really had no reason to use bottles for healing items.

  • I see what you're saying. I hope they improve the visuals more near release.

  • Andrés: True, true, but I did mention most of what you said. The second half of your first comment, and the second. So I agree. Flow|Slick: Yup, as I said already, I'm pretty interested in what the Wolf Link amiibo has to offer. Danny: I'm kinda also hoping they'll tweak the difficulty of the main game. I really am. Sortable19: The biggest change I'd want is smoothing out the character models.

  • If nothing else, at least make the models more rounded, more proper.

  • Understand also that this game is being developed in HD by Tantalus. Nintendo is not getting involved in this one as Im sure they are focusing on the new Zelda game.

  • All we got was more pixels and more detailed textures. No improved lighting, the added color contrast is very minimal, and there are no extra polygons.

    Yeahs2
  • NIGHT HAWK: Yeah, that would be very nice as well. I'm all for it. Maximinim: The lighting as far as the sky and outside has actually been improved a bit, if you look at a comparison.

  • DeclanJay: I understand that, yes. And since the idea of cell shading wouldn't be as proficient for a game of this type and atmosphere, they have to choose a different method to go about recreating the game. I'm just saying that as it stands, this doesn't look like a 2016 game.

  • ??????? Twilight Princess is only my favorite game EVER!!!!! And seriously, now that the hd version is out, it really is even more beautiful than the original. Totally worth buying even if you have the other 2 versions. (I do too.)

    Yeahs1
  • Psh, Minish Cap, you mean? ¬¸¬ I own both the GCN and Wii versions, as well. But yeah, I understand. Just know that this was posted four months ago; my opinion has changed since then. I can now say that although I STILL don't think it looks like a 2016 game, I can clearly see that it has been greatly improved in many regards (with some textures, like grass and vegetation, completely redone).

  • I actually bought Twilight Princess HD on release. The soundtrack offer mostly won me over.

    Yeahs2
  • Yeah, I've been gone for a long time. :-( So far I'm really enjoying the game. It's been a few years since I played the original, but I've noticed a few differences. And I got the pre-order bundle from GameStop, but I didn't get a soundtrack with it! Weren't they the only ones doing that? I need to call them I guess.

    Yeahs0
  • Yeah, it comes as a pre-oder bonus. You might wanna check for that.

    Yeahs1
  • I'll call the store tomorrow and ask. I was really looking forward to the soundtrack.

    Yeahs0
  • Yeah, there should be no reason why you don't get it.
